Walk Now for Autism

This past Sunday my second family and I participated in the Walk Now for Autism in Columbus. It was a very exciting event and we had a great time. I really enjoyed walking and raising money for something that I am very passionate about. Walk Now for Autism is a huge fundraiser for Autism Speaks, an organization that was founded 5 years ago. It is the fastest growing organization in US history and still continuing to grow today. This was the very first Autism Walk held in Columbus and there were more than 5,000 people in attendance. It was so great to see all those people there for a certain cause. All the money donated to Walk Now for Autism goes towards research and helps families offset the cost of autism, especially since most insurance companies do not provide any help. Our team was called Reaching for Sky and it was comprised of over 20 team members who in one way or another have been touched by Skyler. We had a great time while walking and there were many activities for the kids to enjoy as well.
